Kansas Artist Erica Nordling
Erica Nordling’s passion for art is deeply rooted in her love for nature and the beauty found in everyday life. What began as painting trees and flowers on the walls of her first home soon blossomed into a vibrant career. Friends quickly took notice of her unique style and began requesting custom murals for their own spaces — especially their children’s rooms. This inspired the creation of her first business, Break-Away, where Erica specialized in murals and decorative painting that brought warmth and creativity into countless homes.
Today, as the owner of Lynnie’s Nest, Erica continues to weave her two passions — art and floral design — into everything she creates. From teaching step-by-step painting classes to crafting fresh flower arrangements and original artworks, she brings color, joy, and creativity to her community every day. Lynnie’s Nest has become a welcoming space for artists, flower lovers, and anyone seeking to reconnect with creativity and nature.
Erica is dedicated to lifelong learning, continuing her education through art courses at Seward County Community College and Fort Hays State University to further refine her skills and techniques. Through her work, she hopes to inspire others to see the world with fresh eyes — to notice the gentle beauty of nature, and to express themselves freely through art.
“Whether she’s arranging flowers, painting Kansas skies, or teaching her next class, Erica believes creativity is meant to be shared — and that beauty can be found in every brushstroke and bloom.”
