I need to bring color into my life.
My paintings are full of color, but my house has always been more on the neutral side. I think for years I’ve been afraid to use bold color in my home… mostly because I thought I might change my mind later.
But this year, I’m taking that back.
I want my home to feel like my home—a reflection of me. Colorful. Full of life. Not just safe and neutral.
My first project was my daughter’s bathroom.
I kept it simple. I grabbed a quart of navy blue paint and a brush, and instead of rolling it on smooth, I painted horizontal strokes to give it a wallpaper feel. Nothing perfect, just movement and texture.
And I love how it turned out.
It feels different in the best way. More alive. More personal.
It reminded me that color doesn’t have to be overwhelming. You don’t have to redo everything all at once. Sometimes it just starts with one wall… one room… one small decision to try something different.
This is just the beginning for me, and I’m excited to keep bringing more color into my home—little by little.
